Dripping Springs Elite Real Estate Professionals made a significant donation recently to Project Connect Dripping Springs.
Making the presentation today at the regular monthly meeting, DS Elite’s Charitable Giving Committee made up of Melissa Roberts, Ashley Tullis, Mica Gutierrez and Kristen Rummel, awarded the check to Project Connect. The $1000 gift will enable the local nonprofit to provide neighbors with resources of which they wouldn’t normally have access.
“Donating to nonprofits is a great way to support our local community and make a positive impact. It demonstrates that our commitment to the well-being of our community is not only words, but actions,” said Melissa Roberts, committee chair.
“We surveyed our membership of 25 independent real estate agents to ask for their choice of charities that were close to their hearts and those that make a difference here where we live and work,” said Ashley Tullis, committee member.
Representing Project Connect, President Martin Garza addressed the group with sincere appreciation. “Thank you, Dripping Springs Elite, for your very generous donation. Know that this is going to go to many in need in our community such as helping with home repairs, or even somebody escaping a bad situation.”
Lisa Little, DS Elite member and board member for Project Connect said, “Project Connect is doing amazing work in Dripping Springs, and I am honored to be on both sides of this gift today.”
“Each year while we serve clients with real estate transactions, we carve out time to help as many local organizations as we can. Dripping Springs Elite shows up when and where we can and as often as we can,” Roberts added.

Local Realtors Focused on Local Service
Through our Charitable Giving Committee, we budget and plan donations throughout the year in many shapes and sizes. We focus on giving a wide variety of goods in various denominations to organizations as well as for silent auction such as gift cards from local businesses. This way we keep the money in town and encourage others to do so as well.
