Q: What is your favorite part of being an agent?
The people, without a doubt. Over the years, I’ve built lasting friendships and relationships that mean as much to me as the transactions themselves. Helping clients navigate such an important financial decision is rewarding, and it’s an honor to be trusted with something so significant.
Q: What do you like most about Dripping Springs?
It still has that small-town feel. Yes, Dripping Springs has grown tremendously, but it hasn’t lost its charm. There’s less congestion here, a tight-knit community vibe, and a sense of space that’s hard to find anywhere else.
Q: What’s your “superpower” in real estate?
Creativity and persistence. Deals can get complicated quickly — there are always hurdles — but there’s almost always a solution. Thinking outside the box, staying patient, and finding that solution is where I thrive.
Q: What’s the value of being part of DS Elite for your clients?
DS Elite is packed with ethical, top-producing agents who are all experts in this market. That network gives me and my clients access to an incredible amount of shared knowledge, market perspective, and resources. The real estate market changes constantly. We can’t control it, but by surrounding ourselves with the best in the business, we can stay ahead of it and serve our clients better than anyone else.
Q: What inspired you to get into real estate — and what keeps you passionate today?
About 15 years ago, I was in sales and doing well, but I felt like something was missing. My family had a background in real estate, so I took the leap and started out as an on-site sales agent for Standard Pacific Homes. I spent six years there building my skills and connections before becoming a full-time Realtor. What keeps me passionate now is still the same: the people. I truly enjoy what I do and the relationships I’ve built along the way.
Q: How do you define success as an agent? Has that changed over time?
Success used to feel tied to numbers: how many transactions I closed or how much I made. Now, I see it differently. For me, success is when a client comes back to work with me again, refers a friend or family member, or when a lead comes in because they love our marketing. Those are signs I’ve done my job right. If you focus on serving people well, the business takes care of itself.
Q: Can you share a memorable transaction that stands out?
Recently, I closed a massive development deal with Toll Brothers in Cedar Park: 70 acres of the last residentially zoned land in Brushy Creek. Every builder in town had been after it for years, and it was nearly three times larger than anything I’d ever done. It started with a handwritten note I sent to the owner. After staying in touch for over a year and a half, he called me when he was ready to sell. It was a reminder that this business isn’t about instant gratification — it’s about relationships and persistence.
Q: What advice would you give someone starting their real estate journey?
Be patient, develop a routine that works for you, and stick with it. Consistency is everything. Focus on serving your clients well and delivering value. If you keep that at the center of your work, the business will come.
Q: When you’re not working, what do you enjoy most?
I’m happiest outdoors—whether I’m traveling, hunting, fly fishing or spending time at our family ranch in the Hill Country. I also make it to Colorado and Wyoming as often as I can to enjoy some of the best fly fishing and scenery around.
Q: What’s your favorite local spot in Dripping Springs?
Texas Gadget Co. It’s a small, mom-and-pop shop that’s an outdoorsman’s dream. They carry premium hunting and fishing gear, plus great local brands like Howler Bros, Poncho, Burlebo and Tupelo Goods.
