Advertiser Spotlight: Brian Stackhouse of AJI Inspections

Professional Home Inspector | Serving Dripping Springs & the Hill Country

In a real estate market as fast-paced and high-stakes as the Hill Country, having the right home inspector is critical. For buyers, sellers, and investors in the Dripping Springs and surrounding areas, Brian Stackhouse of AJI Inspections has earned a reputation for delivering thorough, thoughtful, and trustworthy services.

A Practical Background, a Personal Mission

Brian offers home inspections for buyers, sellers, and investors, as well as new construction phase inspections and 11-month warranty inspections. He has been serving the Dripping Springs area for four years, but his roots in the industry go back much further.

“I have always enjoyed helping people and I’ve been in the construction industry for a long time,” Brian said. “Becoming a home inspector was a great fit for me. I really enjoy helping people through the stress of buying or selling a home.”

That blend of technical knowledge and personal care has become a hallmark of his work.

The Long-Term Resource Every Homeowner Deserves

Brian approaches every client relationship as a long-term partnership. “I provide a personal touch. I’m also not a one-and-done guy,” he said. “My clients can call me months or even years down the road for referrals to trusted contractors or questions about their home.”

This commitment to lasting support helps clients feel confident and cared for long after closing day.

More Value Than You Might Expect

One thing Brian wishes more people knew is how financially worthwhile a good inspection can be. “My inspection fee has never been more than the cost of the deficiencies I find. The inspection is always worth it ,” he explained.

When you consider what’s often uncovered — from faulty wiring to structural concerns — the return on investment is clear.

Service That’s 100% Focused on the Client

As a solo inspector, Brian is able to provide a high level of attention and care on every job. “I’m a one-man show, so I’m 100% focused on customer service,” he said. “I try to approach every client or partnership with how I would want to be treated and communicated with. I’ve experienced what it feels like to be judged or have someone jump to negative conclusions, so I work to remove that from all my relationships.”

That mindset helps set a positive tone, especially when the stakes are high and stress is involved.

A Longtime Love for Dripping Springs

Brian has a long-standing connection to the Dripping Springs area. “As a younger guy, I would spend two weeks every summer at Inks Lake, and we would drive through this sleepy town called Dripping Springs on the way there and back,” he recalled. “I’ve always loved this town. When my wife and I decided to move back to Texas, Dripping Springs was the only option. The beauty and amazing people are all I need.”

A Recent Project That Stood Out

One recent inspection involved a deaf couple who needed an 11-month warranty inspection. “The report was 48 pages and the deficiencies were staggering,” Brian said. “It was a little challenging, and I was nervous I might not be able to provide them the level of service they deserved. But we worked together and everything went well. Now we’ll see what the builder says about the repairs.”

That experience was a reminder of how every client deserves respect, patience, and a high standard of professionalism — no matter the situation.

Today, he and his family enjoy hiking at Reimers Ranch and Pedernales Falls, and often stop by Treaty Oak or the Dripping Springs Farmers Market to unwind.

Advice for Buyers and Sellers

When it comes to choosing a home inspector, Brian encourages open communication. “Make sure you speak with the actual inspector who will be conducting the inspection, and ask about their background and qualifications,” he advised. “If you have any expectations, make sure you verbalize them. That way, you’ll understand whether those things will be included in the inspection. Communication — both ways — is the key.”
