The Dripping Springs Elite Real Estate Professionals organization is excited to announce its continued support for giving back to the local community. Agent members gathered at HEB in Dripping Springs to load 836 pounds of food and deliver to Helping Hands Food Pantry.
They worked to sort, label and organize the donation in the correct place at the food pantry with the help of Deborah Cluchey, pantry coordinator. Cluchey provided a pantry tour and instructed the group on the process for receiving donations and stocking. She also offered recommendations for ways to volunteer along with the process of food distribution each week.
“We measure donations in pounds,” said Cluchey. “For every 40 pounds, that is one family’s supply. And with this 836 pound donation from Dripping Springs Elite, we can serve almost 21 families. We are always looking for volunteers to help us continue to provide this valuable service.”
DS Elite members arrived at 11:30 am on April 30 where HEB team members had gathered $1000 worth of essential goods. They loaded all into their vehicles to convoy to Helping Hands Food Pantry to unload and stock shelves, ensuring that vital resources reach those in need.
"We're thrilled to bring back our Day of Giving, a cherished tradition that embodies our commitment to giving back to our community," said Kristen Rummel, chair of Charitable Giving Committee for Dripping Springs Elite Real Estate Professionals. "This year, we partnered with HEB and Helping Hands to maximize the impact of our donation, stretching every dollar to its fullest potential.”
“It was a fulfilling effort of camaraderie and service, as we came together to support Helping Hands Food Pantry,” said Stephanie Pope, president of DS Elite. “We learned how to process and stock items correctly and efficiently so when we volunteer on our own in the future, we’ll be able to hit the ground running.”
